The Nervous System- Unlike Cable TV, We Can’t Cut This Cord
Happy Thursday Harvest Fam!
With Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Apple, and now word of Disney starting a streaming service, many Americans are “cutting the cord” on cable and electing to simply have internet service to save money. The nice thing with internet, is that your router and your video streaming devices can communicate over airwaves rather than having to be directly connected.
As we rely more and more heavily on wi-fi capability for work and entertainment, our nervous systems will always utilize “wired” technology with our brain, spinal cord, and all the nerves that carry messages to and from the brain intricately connected. Usually wired connections are faster than wireless ones, which is nice for our reflexes, especially when 10 deer decide to run in front and behind your car all at once! (Happened to me a few weeks ago, in broad daylight none-the-less)
I hate to say that our body is limited in this regard, because it definitely isn’t, it has an amazing ability to heal and function at its full potential when communication is able to flow freely from brain to body. Nerves are the connections, the wires, that connect every cell to the brain. Making sure this system is flowing as free as possible is a great step towards proper feeling and function.
If the nerves in your nervous system aren’t relaying messages the way that they should, we see pain and dysfunction as a result. Think of it like spotty internet service- it’s irritating, frustrating, and keeps you from finishing your work or the new movie you’ve been itching to see! If your nervous system’s ability to send signals is spotty, let’s say to your digestive system for example, constipation and diarrhea are possible effects of that.
As a Neurologically-based Chiropractic office, we are specially trained to find areas where your nervous system is not functioning at its best. We find these areas through neurological analysis with our technique (Torque Release Technique), neurological and muscle assessment technology, digital x-ray, and through consultation with you on your health concerns. We then address stresses in your nervous system with gentle, specific Chiropractic adjustments to help remove the nerve interference causing issues with your health.
As one of only 350 Chiropractic offices in the country certified to utilize the Torque Release Technique, we would be honored to provide this research-based care to you and your family. It’s extremely gentle without the usual twisting, cracking, and popping. If you would like to learn more about this technique, please visit the “Torque Release Technique” page under the “Chiropractic” tab above.
